Malmö Kryptonics IK bildades 1998 under namnet Limhamn Kryptonics som en inlinehockeyklubb. Föreningen har sedan dess deltagit i seriespel för seniorer i inlinehockey när tillfällen givits. Meritmässigt har vi två sm-slutspel i sommarserien och ett guld ’02-03 och ett silver ’03-04 i Vinterligan. För att än mer understryka vår förankring i hela Malmö togs under 2003 beslutet att byta namn till just Malmö Kryptonics IK. Då togs även beslutet att starta en ishockeysektion i föreningen. Ishockeysektionen debuterade i seriesammanhang säsongen 2004-05 i division 3 södra, i vilken vi även spelade säsongen 2005-06. Föreningen har nu förutom inline- och ishockeyverksamhet för herrseniorer även tjejishockey och tjejinlinehockey på schemat. Tanken är att alla de ishockey-/inlineintresserade unga tjejer som finns i Malmö med omnejd ska få prova på sporterna och utöva dessa på breddnivå.
 

Malmö Kryptonics IK was established in 1998 by the name of Limhamn Kryptonics as an inline hockey club. The club has since then participated in the Swedish inline hockey league. The club has twice qualified for the final rounds of the national championship in the summer league. In the winter league the club has collected one gold in the ’02-03 and one silver in the ’03-04 nationwide tournament. In 2003 the club decided to change the name into Malmö Kryptonics IK. At the same time the club started an ice hockey section under the same name. The ice hockey team participated in the “division 3 south” the season 2004-05 and 2005-06. In addition to inline hockey and ice hockey for men the club also hosts practice for all the girls in the Malmö area that are interested in ice hockey and inline hockey.
